How to Plan your Team Business Portraits

When it comes to team business portraits, many business owners feel overwhelmed. What should we wear? How do we prepare for the shoot? Where should we go? Don’t worry – we’re here to help! This blog post will give you tips on how to plan for your company’s portrait shoot. By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your photos turn out great!

Picking a Location for your Business Portraits

The first step is to decide on a location. If you have a large office, you may consider renting out a space for the day, giving you plenty of room to set up your shots and ensure that everyone has enough space to move around. Are you on a budget, don’t worry – there are plenty of great locations that won’t cost you a fortune. Make sure to pick a place with good lighting and plenty of space! Work with us at Block Portrait Studios, we have a studio space available that is perfect for shoots like this!

What to Wear for your Team Business Portraits

Once you’ve chosen a location, it’s time to start thinking about what to wear. We recommend avoiding busy patterns or logos, as they can be distracting in photos. Solid colors usually photograph best.  If you’re unsure about what to wear, click here to see some of my recommendations or feel free to consult with your photographer! They will be able to give you some great tips!

Now that you’ve chosen a location and figured out what to wear, it’s time to start thinking about the details of the shoot. How many people will be participating? What kind of poses would you like? What type of shots do you want? What do you want your team headshots to say about your company? Do you want a more serious look or a lighthearted and fun approach? These are all important questions to consider before your shoot!

Finally, what are your brand standards? Do you want everyone in the company headshots to wear the same thing, or do you want each person to have a unique look? How should the images be shot, full body, zoomed in? These are all things that should be decided before the shoot so that you can ensure that your company’s photos match your brand standards.
