The Chase family commissioned us for extended family portraits last Thanksgiving. They found us from driving by our Saint Paul portrait studio. The family was getting together and both daughters, who live on opposite sides of the country, were in town at the same time. They haven’t had full family portraits done since the youngest grandaughter was just a baby, so it was time for a family portrait update. We did an in-person planning meeting at their home in Mendota Heights. We discussed how they would want their family portrayed and decided an album would be the best choice for showcasing the portraits. They’re a very close-knit, affectionate family and wanted their portraits to reflect this having everyone pose very close together with great big smiles. When selecting what they would wear for portraits, we decided on plain navy outfits to match the decor in the house where we would be photographing. We’re working on a wall gallery for the house that includes portraits of other life events and past family portraits. Thank you Chase family!
