Matthew's Legacy: Honoring Service and Inspiration

This week’s client feature, honoring service, highlights Matthew Michels’s service. At the edge of retirement, Matthew decided to highlight his service to this country. To bring his life stories to life, we had the pleasure of doing a Portrait Session here at the studio. The studio surrounds him in a captivating Renaissance-inspired glow. Each item serves as a way to add depth to the canvas and bring Matthew’s rich life to the portraits.

Soft lighting casts a timeless look around Matthew as various props and mementos surround him. Among them, a cherished pipe held firmly in his hand, relics from his military service, and symbols of his faith. Each item reflects the different chapters of Michael’s life—marked by courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication.

Among these treasures, one stands out—a simple piece of fabric once belonging to one of Matthew’s heroes from the Korean War. It’s a tangible reminder of the sacrifices made before him and inspires him to carry on their legacy with pride and honor.

During the client feature: honoring service portrait session, Matthew changed into his two ASU outfits. One is in the distinguished dark blue uniform, and the other is in the army green uniform.

The backdrop, a blend of traditional canvas and staged scenes, captures Matthew’s story. A story of resilience and unwavering commitment to service.

As he starts this new chapter, he hopes these portraits will serve as a tribute to his dedication and sacrifice. A lasting reminder to his children and grandchildren of his values and the legacy he leaves behind.
