Embracing Authenticity: A Vogue Photoshoot For Business Branding

In the world of coaching, the visuals we present play a crucial role in conveying our brand’s essence. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with life coach Dr. Brenda Brummond; who specializes in thoughtful and intentional thinking—an approach that prioritizes depth over superficiality. After photoshoots that didn’t resonate with her brand, we aimed for a more somber, introspective vibe that truly reflects her coaching philosophy by creating a vogue photoshoot session.

Setting the Stage: Understanding the Brand

Before the photoshoot, we discussed her coaching practice’s core values and mission. She focuses on guiding individuals through deep, transformative thinking processes, helping them uncover insights that lead to meaningful change. This required a visual identity aligned with her authenticity and depth of commitment.

We wanted to create images that spoke to potential clients’ hearts and minds, illustrating the weight of thoughtful reflection rather than the fleeting joy often captured in bright, cheerful photos.  Every detail—from the color palette to the setting—needed to support this intention.

Crafting the Mood: Location and Styling

To achieve a Vogue photoshoot feeling, we focused on the black-and-white aesthetic. We created the perfect feeling by using flash lighting in a studio setting. Styling was also crucial in conveying the right message. We opted for neutral tones and minimalistic attire aligned with Brenda’s brand.

Capturing the Essence: Photography Techniques

During the photoshoot, we employed specific lighting techniques to enhance the atmosphere. Soft, diffused lighting played a significant role in creating an intimate feel, while candid poses captured authentic moments of contemplation. We focused on close-ups and mid-shots, allowing viewers to connect with the emotions being portrayed.

Reflecting the Brand Identity: The Final Product

Our collaboration with Dr. Brenda Brummond, a modern life and business coach, resulted in a series of images beautifully capturing her coaching philosophy’s essence. Each photograph conveys a sense of depth and introspection, inviting potential clients to engage with her on a deeper level. These visually appealing images tell a story of thoughtful engagement and intentional transformation.
