Why Pet Portraits Matter

I was so happy to receive this inquiry for a pet portrait session! The reason for the portraits? These two adorable English Setters had just been groomed and were ready for their close-ups!

Meet Aasa and Cecelia, a pair with personalities as distinct as they are beautiful! Aasa has a stunning profile and loves teasing and splashing in water. Cecelia is the affectionate alpha, but a little mischievous when squirrels are around. I love that their Mom, who used to live in Norway, speaks Norwegian affirmations to them, such a meaningful details that makes their bond so sweet!

Photographing these two reminds me exactly why pet portraits matter so much! Pets are part of our families, and they have such distinct personalities and quirks that are worth remembering. Every nuzzle, excited tail wag, and playful leap are worth capturing.

Our pets are only with us for a short time, which makes capturing their personalities and the bond you share so important. Their health and energy can change quickly, so let’s preserve who they are right now, creating memories and beautiful art you’ll treasure for years to come!
