Tierra Encantada is a Spanish immersion daycare founded here in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They focus on helping children grow in all aspects. The children they look after range from six weeks old to six years old. The goal is to help develop early cognitive function while teaching the kids to respect cultural diversity through Spanish. The CEO and owner, Kristen, has been a friend for years through the wedding world. She owned a linen and draping rental business just down the street from Block Portrait Studios. When Kristen was looking for daycare and preschool options for her own kids, everything had a waitlist, so she took this as an opportunity to start her own.
When Tierra Encantada started to grow from just a couple of locations to three, Kristen reached out for marketing photos. It was essential to focus on their personal brand’s message for these marketing images. She and the marketing team wanted to highlight the kids first and foremost. Showing them doing the activities they love the most, having fun, and learning made the portraits match the feel of Tierra Encantada. Another vital part of the brand was to showcase their fantastic staff that keeps caring and nurturing the children. When designing the program, healthy organic meals were at the forefront for her, so we wanted to include those in the portraits as well. It’s been great to see this company, now a franchise, opening internationally. It’s an honor to be a part of creating such a polished brand.
